The burials are located on two rocky outcrops, in an area of hills and valleys near the Temo river and the Curos river, in northwestern Sardinia. The necropolis consists of nine hypogeans. Tomb I, with an E-oriented entrance, has a short “dromos” and three rooms in longitudinal succession. The rooms, almost completely devoid of ceilings, have a quadrangular plan and very large doors.
Tomb II consists of a small “dromos”, oriented to E, which leads into a quadrangular pavilion from which you can access the various rooms.
Tomb III is a multicellular hypogeum consisting of four rooms and a rectangular pavilion preceded by a short 'dromos'.
The anticell and the main cell describe a 'T' planimetric scheme, to which the other chambers are paralleled.
Tomb IV, facing S, has a small corridor, with a large entrance door, which leads to an irregularly shaped cell with a small side compartment.
Tomb V has the 'dromos' and a semicircular pavilion, oriented to NE, followed by the cella and the antecell arranged in a 'T' shape. The first room has a double sloping ceiling.
Among the most interesting hypogeums is Tomb VI, multi-celled and with two entrances: in reality, these are two hypogeans unified in ancient times. The first hypogeum, in a 'T' shape, has the 'dromos' oriented to NE, a small anticell, a larger rectangular cell and two side compartments. A hemispherical cup is made in the floor of the anticell.
The second hypogeum, originally formed by a corridor oriented to SE, an anticell and a cell, later became a unique environment with the cell of the first hypogeum; an additional decentralized room completed the floor plan.
Tomb VII is multicellular with a small corridor facing E. The anticella and the main cell, arranged in a “T” shape, have a quadrangular plan with a flat ceiling; from the main cell there is access, on the right side, to a rectangular compartment.
In the area in front of the tomb there are two small menhirs with a plane-convex section, (m 1 x m 0.40 and m 0.72 x m 0.40) not “in situ”, which originally protected or marked the tomb.
Tomb VIII, which returned a beautiful statuette of the mother-goddess, has interesting architectural elements carved on the walls. It has a small 'dromos' oriented to E and an irregularly shaped vestibule with traces of decorations (frames?) carved on the side walls.
The quadrangular anticell simulates on the ceiling - with flat relief - a wooden roof with parallel beams; on the wall in front of the entrance, from which you can access the main cell, there are two flat bands superimposed below the ceiling line, while on the sides of the door there are two lowered and framed boxes. In the side walls, a flat band delimits a rectangular panel with a pair of “boat” horns in relief.
In the next cell - larger in size - the ceiling imitates a hut roof with ridge beams and seven joists per slope. The walls show decorations with pilaster patterns, bands and clogs; long overlapping “banded” horns, a false door framed by two jambs highlighted with the lintel underlined by two wide curvilinear “band” horns, other squares and taurine “band” protomes.
The other three subsidiary rooms are rectangular and undecorated.
Tomb IX, oriented in S, has a 'dromos' and a pavilion. From the hatch, with a deep recess, you can access the quadrangular antechamber and the rectangular cell, arranged in a “T” shape. On the floor of the anticell you can see a hemispherical cup, while in the center of the cell there is a ritual hearth formed by a circular cordon in relief and a small central cup. On the side wall of the main cell, the entrance to the quadrangular coaxial secondary compartments opens.
Other cups can be seen on the rock in the area in front of the hypogeum.
The excavation has returned ceramic materials attesting to a long attendance of the site, from the final Neolithic to the Eneolithic to the ancient Bronze Age (cultures of Ozieri, the Campaniform Vase, of Bonnanaro).

History of excavations
Known since 1903, the necropolis was excavated in 1987-88 by Giovanni Maria Demartis.
