The engineer Giulio Dolcetta was one of the creators of the Reclamation, the technical, organizational and business promoter of the intervention. The memorial garden dedicated to Giulio Dolcetta is located in the homonymous square, located in the town of Arborea. It occupies an area between the Town Hall, from which it is separated by a path outside the garden, and a lot occupied by a residence. On the east side, a seat delimits it from the square and Viale Omodeo. It is a small square-shaped green space, divided into four flower beds that are also square, arranged symmetrically and separated by two central orthogonal paths with a gravel finish. At the intersection of the paths is the monument dedicated to Giulio Dolcetta, built in 1954. The inauguration of the monument and the square dedicated to Giulio Dolcetta dates back to a period between December 7, 1954 and March 20, 1955, as shown by the documentation kept in the Historical Archive of the Municipality of Arborea.
Aspects of interest
The regularly shaped flower beds have a meadow cover, there is a bay shrub and a palm tree. The monument was initially placed in the center of a flowerbed bordered by a circular hedge. The garden houses a monument with inscription at the center of the flower beds.
