The area of the vast archaeological park extends into Planargia, a sub-region of north-central-western Sardinia, between the lower valley of the Temo river and the northern side of Montiferru.
The Suni Archaeological Park, which has centralized management, includes the Nuraddeo nuraghe sites, among the best preserved in Sardinia, the Seneghe nuraghe, of particular interest and magnificence, of the corridor type, and the Chirisconis necropolis, an underground complex that includes 12 single-celled and multicellular burials.
History of the excavations
The monuments of the Archaeological Park have been known since the Angius was mentioned in the Casalis and Taramelli “Dictionary” in the archaeological map.
