The Villa Siotto Park is an integrated historic complex in which the main residential complex is harmoniously inserted into the surrounding landscape. The original property belonged to the Siotto Pintor family, of ancient Cagliari nobility, engaged in agricultural and philanthropic activities. The initiative to build the villa and farm in Sarroch is due to Luigi Siotto, who founded the company “Casa Siotto” in the second half of the 19th century; his son Giuseppe Siotto Pintor completed the construction of the manor house in 1912. The park, of about 11 hectares, was designed as a representative and productive extension of the residence: a large garden-farm that integrated aesthetic and agricultural functions, in line with the agronomic culture of the time. The layout of the park with avenues, paths and shaded areas testifies to a design consistent with the late-nineteenth-century models of the private Mediterranean garden. During the twentieth century, the complex maintained its agricultural function until the progressive downsizing of the business and the sale of the property to the Municipality of Sarroch. Since the 2000s, the property has been the subject of a program of restoration and public enhancement: the agricultural appliances have been recovered, the park made accessible, and the villa now hosts cultural activities and exhibitions dedicated to the historical memory of the Siotto family and the territory. The villa forms the fulcrum of the park and defines the spatial hierarchy of the surrounding green areas. The green area of the park is divided into two main parts, linked together by a coherent functional and visual system. The representative garden, located in front of the villa, has geometric and symmetrical flower beds that mark the paths and enhance the entrance, in continuity with the architecture of the building. Rows of trees that accompany the avenues and create perspective scenes contribute to delimiting and enriching this space, and historic furnishings such as concrete benches and the two iron gates that mark the main entrances, integrating functionality and aesthetic value. Around the formal area, there is a wooded area, of a more natural character and of about ten hectares, characterized by pines, cypresses, olive trees and trees typical of the Mediterranean scrub, which together with shrubs form a varied and spontaneous landscape context. The dirt paths allow the enjoyment of the forest and lead to panoramic points, equipped with benches for parking, creating an itinerary of discovery between nature and history. The division between ornamental garden and wooded area reflects the original combination between the formal layout of the manor park and integration with the natural landscape, typical of historic homes of the early twentieth century.

The architectural and landscape ensemble retains a high documentary value, representing the transformation of the Sardinian agrarian landscape in the transition from the nineteenth-century rural economy to the bourgeois culture of the early twentieth century, and a rare example of an integrated relationship between villa, company and garden in the context of the Cagliari area.
