The State Archives of Oristano houses a documentary heritage consisting of archival funds, for the most part, coming from the peripheral state offices existing in the provincial context starting in 1974. There are also documents from the late nineteenth century, archives of educational institutions in Oristano and its province, military districts, starting with the Unification of Italy. It also preserves a small but valuable collection of statutory Chapters of the main artisan guilds since 1618.
