Masullas, The Knights of the Hills Museum

The museum “The Knights of the Hills” tells the story of the rural aristocracy of Masullas and Parte Montis, inserted in the wider context of the nobility in Sardinia.
The itinerary begins with an overview of the main events of Sardinian history, from the judicial period to the Savoy age, and their relationship in the granting of noble institutions; followed by a description of the territory from an administrative and judicial point of view, the relations between the noble class and the Church, the humble conditions in which the villagers were forced to live. A large space is dedicated to the history of local families awarded the noble title.
The museum's mission also aims to promote knowledge and discussion among younger generations on historical evolution concerning the theme of Justice and Legality.
The exhibition is enriched by valuable artistic works, by weapons and documents belonging to local nobles, by reconstructions of the customs of the time, by precious and ancient books, by the orographic representation of the territory with their respective villages (even those that have disappeared), by objects used in the organisms of the Kingdom, by the illustration of the architecture of noble houses.
