The monument is located on the hill of Filigosa, at the base of which is the homonymous necropolis at Domus de Janas.
The building, of a simple type, has undergone the oblique subsidence of the front part, which allows you to see its internal structure.
The tower, circular (diam. m 12.60; maximum residual height 9.40 m NW), is built with medium and large machined boulders, arranged in regular rows.
The entrance, originally facing SE and now collapsed, leads into an entrance (length m 3.80; width m 1.20) on the second wall of which the entrance to the stairwell opens (width m 1.40), currently not passable because it collapsed and interrupted by restoration work.
The chamber, circular (diameter 4.40 m), is kept for a maximum height of 8.20 m.
The environment is made of small and medium-sized blocks that have just been drafted and installed, with the aid of rising wedges, on more or less regular horizontal courses.
The floor plan of the room is interrupted by the entrances of three niches arranged in a cross: the first, in s., shows a subquadragular plan, trapezoidal section and flat roof; the second, on the same axis as the entrance, has a development in plan and trapezoidal section; the third, in d., has a subquadragular plan, trapezoidal section and tabular roof.
History of excavations
The nuraghe was restored in 1968 by the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage for the Provinces of Sassari and Nuoro.

How to get there
Reach the northern suburbs of Macomer and just before the Civil Hospital, turn right into an asphalted road that leads in front of the Filigosa hill. The nuraghe rises on top of the relief.
