The building is located along Via Roma in an axial position with respect to the lush garden in front, which is spread over a slope, and is unfortunately in a deplorable state of decay.
The building originated from the tender launched by the Mining Association in 1903, thanks to the mining companies operating in the Iglesiente that went public, also issuing bonds, to allow both the tender and the construction of today's building, based on the winning design of the Ligurian architect Francesco Sappia, but built by the engineer Queirolo and then by the engineer Efisio Orrù.
It was already used in December 1905 for the first official session of the association, before it was even completed.
The main front faces the garden in the highest part of the land ceded by the Municipality, spread over two floors, connected by a staircase with beautiful wrought iron railings. The most significant aspects are the formal ones, visible especially in the frames that follow one another on all sides of the elevations and in the decorations of the windows on the back of the building, containing flowers and ornaments typical of Liberty. The most unique are the three progressively lower rectangular windows that give light to the stairwell.
