Dorgali, “S'Abba Frisca” Park-Museum. Assembling two photos by Renato Brozu, from Sardegna DL

Traditions, knowledge, flavors, sounds and scents of Barbarian culture immersed in a beautiful landscape: a combination of nature and ethnography. The park-museum itinerary stems from the enhancement and restoration of an old farm and winds for 500 meters through megalithic walkways, centuries-old trees and Mediterranean hedges. The dominant element is water: the S'Abba Frisca spring (fresh water), feeds fountains, waterfalls, gushes and a small lake.
Inside the Park, the old company is today the largest ethnographic museum in Sardinia that gives a glimpse of rural life between the 17th and the beginning of the 20th century.
Along the way you can see the ancient shepherd's house “Su Cuile”, the blacksmith's workshop with the bellows from 1800, the manor house with bedrooms, clothes, weapons, jewelry, musical instruments, carpets and ceramics; the environments for the processing of wool, the production of bread, wine oil and much more.
In the section dedicated to the work of artisans and technology there is the shoemaker's laboratory, that of the carpenter and some machines dating back to the thirties/forties of the 1900s that were used in the territory of Dorgali.
Inside the park, the vegetable garden and the sensory path with aromatic herbs.
Finally, the farm with domestic and wild animals, including: Sardinian donkeys and those of Asinara, horses, peacocks and hens, wild boars and many others. An area created to sensitize the visitor to the issues of respect for biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
In summer, on fixed dates or by reservation, it is possible to attend demonstrations of arts and crafts with the “Living Museum”: The park comes alive with artisans and farmers, among the activities proposed: the baking of carasau bread, the milling of wheat, the processing of filigree and many others.
The S'Abba Frisca Museum Park is one of the main attractions of Cala Gonone and Dorgali, located 5 km from their urban centers, tells the story of Sardinia in an itinerary highly recommended for families.
