The third edition of the film festival 'Nosu e is atrus' continues until November: screenings with free admission that will feature, in the presence of the directors, short and feature films shot in minority languages.
The festival aims to enrich the city's cultural offer and to promote works made in Sardinia by comparing films that tell life experiences related to the city, characters and history of Cagliari (Nosu) with other films that address similar points of view in other places in Sardinia (is Atrus).
The second part of the festival will take place between October and November: Sunday, October 1 at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, there will be a premiere of the eighth edition of the Babel Film Festival with the screening of the short films that won the 2022 Kentzeboghes Prize: 'Sonallus' by Tomaso Mannoni and 'Down with Iguali' by Michela Anedda . Thanks to the collaboration with the Massimo theater in Cagliari and the Jazz in Sardinia association, the Tabarchino singer-songwriter Matteo Leone will perform at the end of the screenings as part of the 43rd edition of the European Jazz Expo festival.
The last two evenings of the festival will take place at the Odissea cinema in Cagliari. On October 26, there will be a screening of the film “Arbores — The Lost History of the Trees of Sardinia” by Francesco Bussalai. On November 2, the screening of the short films The Last Habanera (2021) by Carlo Licheri, Mammaranca by Francesco Piras (2022), Flying Disc by Matteo Incollu (2016), Ausonia (2019) by Giulia Camba and Elisa Meloni.
