The first regional resolution in the Sardinian language

For the first time in the history of Autonomy, the Region adopted a resolution written in Sardinian (28 April 2006). Following the approval of the reference rules for a Sardinian Limba Municipality, the regional council has made public the text of the first official resolution written in Sardinian in the history of Autonomy.
This is the translation of the act by which on 18 April last the reference rules for the Sardinian language were approved “coming out” of the offices of the autonomous institution and established a regional “s'Ufìtziu de sa Limba Sarda'.
The final drafting of the document represents a meeting point between the different sensitivities and trends in terminological treatment and administrative use of limba that have emerged in the debate of specialists in recent years.
As established by State law no. 482, the exclusive value of acts in Italian and the experimentality of the linguistic path identified by the regional government remain firm. Anyone who wants to write to the Region can continue to do so in their own or in any variant of Sardinian they deem appropriate. The formalization of the resolution translated into Sardinian falls precisely because of “Sa die de sa Sardigna”, on April 28.
