Located in the upper part of the Stampace district, the church overlooks a raised square, between Via Sant'Efisio and Via Santa Restituta.
It was thanks to the legacy of Salvatore Mostallino, professor of medicine at the University of Cagliari, that in the first half of the 17th century, the church of Santa Restituta was built above the saint's prison, on land ceded in 1637 by the nearby parish church of Sant'Anna. It was probably finished by the year 1640, the date engraved on the church bell. The structure of the building has a single barrel-vaulted nave, with three side chapels on each side, also barrel-covered; raised presbytery, slightly smaller than the main hall; façade with a fan end, on which there is an arched portal surmounted by a broken bezel, on which a circular window opens, corresponding, inside, to the gallery above the entrance. Between 1959 and 1965, the Church, damaged during the 1943 bombings, was the subject of work to consolidate the structure by the Civil Engineers.
