La sepoltura collettiva megalitica di S’Ena e Thomes, di tipo dolmenico, con pareti costituite da grandi lastre piantate a coltello e copertura con lastroni orizzontali affiancati, è un notevole esempio di architettura funeraria nuragica la cui costruzione risale all’Età del Bronzo Medio 1 (1600-1500 a.C. circa). Al centro dello spazio semicircolare dell’esedra in cui si svolgevano i riti funebri, si trova, ancora in situ, l’elemento di maggiore interesse della sepoltura, la stele centinata, che simbolicamente rappresentava la porta del regno dei morti. At the centre of the semicircular space of the exedra where the funeral rites were held, the most interesting burial element is located, still in situ, the arched stele, which symbolically represented the door of the kingdom of the dead. Made of a single block of sub-oval shape, it displays the arched profiled top, circumscribed by a raised frame and a transverse strip. At the bottom, the square door opens, with rounded corners, connected to the burial chamber. Au centre de l’espace semi-circulaire de l’exèdre, où se déroulaient les rites funéraires, s’y trouve encore l’élément le plus intéressant de l’enterrement à savoir la stèle cintrée qui représentait symboliquement la porte du royaume des morts. Constituée d’un seul bloc de forme subovale, son sommet présente un profil arqué, entouré d’un cadre en relief et d’un listel transversal. Au pied de la stèle se trouve une ouverture quadrangulaire, aux coins arrondis, reliée à la chambre funéraire. Im Mittelpunkt des halbkreisförmigen Raumes der Exedra, in dem die Beerdigungsriten abgehalten wurden, befindet sich in situ noch das interessanteste Element der Bestattung, die gewölbte Stele, die symbolisch für das Tor zum Totenreich steht. Bestehend aus einem einzigen Block in sub-ovaler Form zeigt sich die Oberseite mit einem gewölbten Profil und ist von einem Relief-Rahmen und einem Querstreifen umgeben. Am Boden öffnet sich die viereckige Tür mit abgerundeten Ecken, die zur Grabkammer führt. En el centro del espacio semicircular de la exedra, donde se realizaban los ritos funerarios todavía se encuentra el elemento más interesante de la sepultura, la estela de piedra, que representa simbólicamente la puerta del reino de los muertos. Formada por un único bloque con forma suboval, con el perfil superior arqueado, circunscrito por un marco en relieve y una tira transversal. En el lado inferior se abre la puerta cuadrangular, con esquilas redondeadas, conectada a la cámara funeraria.
