The museum was created with the intention of enhancing the historical and identity memory of the former mining village of the Argentiera, creating the encounter between tradition and innovation, through an unprecedented artistic journey, capable of involving and exciting: and this is one of the main objectives of MAR-Miniera Argentiera, the first open-pit mining museum in augmented reality. MAR is a project that connects historical and mining memory, with the artistic exploration offered by current technological innovations. A liquid and open museum that brings public and private spaces into dialogue, telling the story of the silversmith in an unprecedented way: - one of the greatest examples of mining archeology in Sardinia, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. A journey and a layout designed to grow over time and capable of combining knowledge, culture and fun.

Free admission accompanied by reception staff is allowed in groups of up to 10 people. The reception staff is available to visitors for general information and is responsible for the safety and smooth running of the visit: the instructions and prescriptions of the staff must therefore be carefully followed.
