“Contraddizioni” is the title of the exhibition that opens Saturday, April 13 in the spaces of the Ghetto of Cagliari. The exhibition, the result of an educational project by the Department of Visual Arts of the “Mario Sironi” Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari, co-produced by Agorà Sardegna and CoopCulture, brings together in a collective exhibition the works of 11 artists, teachers and students, who have interpreted the theme of “contradiction” as the constitutive root of our contemporaneity with different materials and means of expression.
The exhibition exemplifies how art is increasingly becoming an indispensable tool for understanding and interpreting the great transformations that are affecting our forms of life and the human anthropological structure itself. At the same time, “Contradictions” testifies how the Academies of Fine Arts, where the eyes and hands of artists train, are culturally strategic places for the entire community. The classrooms of these Higher Artistic Training Institutions are the laboratories where the sense of our contemporaneity is cultivated.
