The nuraghe is located in a dominant position over the wide Modolo valley, in the region of Planargia, in northeastern Sardinia.
The building, of particular interest and grandeur, is of the corridor type. It has an irregular elliptical plan (16.50 m x 15.20 m) crossed lengthwise by a passing corridor with opposite entrances.
The tower (height 6/3 m) is built with basaltic blocks, unprocessed and large, arranged in horizontal rows with the aid of large wedges.
The main entrance - facing S, raised above the country level (width m 1.40/1.15; height m 1.95) and arched - introduces into the rear corridor, straight and flat (length m 15.20; width m 1.35/1.50/1.75; height m 2.50/2.60), which connects with the secondary entrance, to N (width m 1/1.32; height m 1.80), also an arched one.
In the d. wall of the corridor, three niches open up in succession.
The first has a rectangular plan (depth m 6; width m 1.40/1.35; height m 2.20) and a flat roof; the second, always rectangular (width m 1.50; height m 2.45) and flat, has a slot (length m 3.40; width m 0.55; height m 0.50) that crosses the wall thickness; the third is smaller than the previous ones (depth m 2.30; width m 1.10/1; height m 2.10), but always bandaged flat.
In the wall d. of the main corridor, on the same axis as the first niche, the staircase opens (width 1.50/1.35/1.28 m; height 2.30 m) which, with a curvilinear path upwards, after about m 6, flows into a small shelf illuminated by a trapezoidal window (width m 1.70/0.70) oriented to E and raised on the external collapse.
In the same wall d. of the main corridor, the entrance (width m 1.35/0.70; height m 2.75; height m 2.75) of a room with an angular extension towards d. (length m 5; width m 1.30/1.65; height m 2.65): it is possible that this is an additional niche.
The current state of the monument does not make it possible to define the structure of the rooms on the upper floor, perhaps similar to those on the lower floor.
History of the excavations
The nuraghe has been known since the Angius was mentioned in the Casalis and Taramelli “Dictionary” in the archaeological map.

How to get there
Exit from Suni in the direction of Bosa: after about 250 meters you take a dirt road to the left and after a few hundred meters you stop in front of a bar. Park the car and walk for about 500 m. The nuraghe is on the right, partially hidden by an oak grove, near the road.
