The Tempio Pausania station is contemporary with the late inauguration of the Sassari-Tempio railway, dating back to 1931.
Based on the traditional model of the transit station that faces the main front of the town and is located parallel to the tracks, the building has a façade symmetrically punctuated by frames and openings in perfect correspondence with that towards the railroad, completed by a beautiful iron shelter. The attention to detail is evident in the use of bricks in contrast to the plaster and the granite structural parts, in the paintings of the lunettes and in the geometric bands that underline the walls, in the service writings, in the furnishings that are unfortunately not fully preserved.
The decorative part of Giuseppe Biasi, who painted the interior between September and October 1931, is particularly important. The paintings, partly lost, represent scenes of country life, destined for the atrium walls and for moments of daily life for the first-class waiting room: all are characterized by extensive color schemes, both dark, lively and bright.
