The Pinacoteca named after Carlo Contini, an artist from Oristano of the 20th century, housed in the ancient judicial hospital of Sant'Antonio, in the homonymous street, constitutes, together with the Municipal Library and Terracotta - Center for Documentation on Ceramics, one of the most important and lively cultural centers in the city. The Pinacoteca is organized in two sections. The first dedicated to the artistic collection owned by the Municipality of Oristano acquired during the years of activity of the old Municipal Gallery “Carlo Contini” and enriched by the donation made in 1969 by Giovanni Battista Sanna Delogu (Ghilarza 1895-1970). Artists include Giuseppe Biasi, Antonio Ballero, Felice Melis Marini, Mario Delitala, Pietro Antonio Manca, Melkiorre Melis, Carmelo Floris, Stanis Dessy, Giovanni Marras, Foiso Fois, Carlo Contini, Antonio Atza, Ermanno Leinardi, Antonio Corriga, Maria Lai. The second section is dedicated to holding temporary exhibitions.
