Scano di Montiferro, Bird Park Naturalistic Museum

It is located about 3 km north of the town in the direction of Suni, marked along the road by special signs.
The park is located at the foot of Montiferru, at an altitude of 400 m.
The area covers about 20,000 square meters and is characterized by oak, eucalyptus and oak trees.
There are about 150 examples of exotic animals.
Large aviaries are home to flamingos, parrots (the most numerous of the animals present), but also cranes, peacocks, and Nile geese that can fly freely.
Large tanks are intended for white swans, barred Indian geese, mandarin ducks and carolines.
Fences house fallow deer, emus and Sardinian species such as donkeys and turtles.
There is also a succulent garden.

Why is it important to visit it
The main purpose of the park is to reproduce and conserve rare species, but also to allow a passionate public to admire specimens in the best possible conditions, in order to make their beauty and importance known.
