The monument is built on a natural rocky outcrop, in the wooded mountainous area of Sorgono, in Mandrolisai, in the center of Sardinia.
The nuraghe is a subellitic mono-tower. The outer wall consists of freshly sketched granite blocks, arranged in irregular rows. The masonry encompasses, in an E shape, parts of the rock outcrop.
The entrance, oriented to the NW, has a trapezoidal light (m 1.63 x m 0.75) and is surmounted by an lintel equipped with an exhaust window.
The corridor behind it, with a slightly curvilinear shape, has an ogival section and gradually grows in height towards the entrance to the room.
The chamber, whose “tholos” roof has partially collapsed, remains for a height of 4.50 m; it has an irregular circular plan (diameter 4.00 m) and has a subtriangular niche on the s. side (m 1.70 x m 2).
The peculiarity of this nuraghe derives from the fact that it has - on the wall of the room opposite to the entrance one - a short entrance that leads to a large lintriaved window, surmounted by an exhaust window. In the building there is no trace of any kind of staircase.
The monument dates back to 1500-900 BC.
