The church of San Pancrazio is located in Nursi, isolated on a hill in the countryside of Sedini, visible from the bends of the provincial road.
The church of San Pancrazio was built in the only surviving environment of a 12th century monastery, which is the only one left standing in the landscape of Romanesque architecture in Sardinia.
The monastery was structured around a square courtyard. In the surviving building on E, the cushioned ashlars of the buildings that formed the N and S arms are evident. The surviving environment has turned into an ogival barrel, with a series of holes that mark the level of a lost wooden floor.
The walls are in a bichrome technique, which alternates rows of limestone cantons with others in volcanic stone. The shape of a pilgrim's shoe is engraved in several low ashlars of the outer wall.
History of studies
Vittorio Angius quotes it under the heading “Sedini”. The first historical-artistic treatment is due to Roberto Coroneo (1993).
