La Maddalena-Caprera, Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial

La Maddalena-Caprera, Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial

The museum, formerly Forte Arbuticci of the Navy, is located on a hill where you can enjoy a beautiful view. It is divided into four blocks that trace the entire human, military and political history of Giuseppe Garibaldi, with various historical memorabilia and with multimedia supports that offer a virtual journey into the life and great exploits of the General.

Why it's important to visit it
“An innovative and surprising museum that, through engaging multimedia equipment, offers a virtual journey into the General's life and businesses. The four main bodies of the fort are divided into thirteen sections, each dedicated to a significant period or aspect of the General's life. Inside, about two hundred pieces, including works and documents, retrace his life, his deeds and his wanderings on the five continents.” (from the official website of the G. G. Memorial)
