Sassari, Viale Store

The building is located in the center, in Largo Cavallotti.
The store, already home to the “Manifatture A. Viale”, is one of the few that preserves the façade, which was widespread in the early twentieth century in numerous solutions. Despite the transition to another commercial company, the sequence of doors and overlying windows is perfectly preserved.
The intervention is due to the flourishing workshop of the Clemente brothers, who were very active for several decades in the production of wooden furniture and finishes. Here the openings on the first and second floors are unified by frames and lintels that have decorations of remarkable formal taste, recalling the Art Nouveau style. Even the railings of the balconies on the first floor reflect similar stylistic motifs.
