Samatzai, Casa Domu De su Ferreri Museum

The artisanal workshop house maintains its original characteristics unchanged. Both the perimeter masonry and the division of the rooms are built in laòdiri, raw bricks, made in the same courtyard as the house; the walls are plastered with ludu, mud and straw.
In the carefully restored laboratory, you can see the layout of the work space: the anvil in the center, supported by a sturdy wooden base and “on a fronnațbi” (the forge) behind it supported by a wooden frame that is operated by hand. There are also “su laccu 'e s'acqua” close to the forge; “su cabacorru” (the vise) on a large log near “su bangu”, a sturdy wooden table, a large hand wall drill and, in the courtyard, “sa perda po acutzai” (the characteristic circular sandstone wheel) that is operated with a pedal and was used to sharpen cutting tools.
The courtyard is paved with cobblestone; there is also the characteristic circular platform, made of stone slabs, used for the removal of the iron wheels of the wagons and the structure used to iron the oxen: “knows the machine and the railroad”.
