Pozzomaggiore, “Blessed Edvige Carboni” Birthplace

Edvige Carboni's birthplace, restored to its origins, was inaugurated on February 17, 2002. Born in Pozzomaggiore on May 2, 1880, to Giovanni Battista and Maria Domenica Pinna, Edvige Carboni died in Rome, on February 17, 1952, after a life dedicated to religion and spirituality.

Why is it important to visit
The house in Pozzomaggiore where Blessed Edvige Carboni spent her youthful domestic life in a sober, spiritual and collected way, alternating household chores with moments of prayer, before the transfer of her family to Rome, in the years immediately before the beginning of the Second World War.
