Iglesias, Elementary Schools

Women's elementary schools were built in that sort of “school district” located near the church of San Francesco, which revolves around the Mining Institute (1911) and elementary schools for boys, now home to the artistic high school (1904).
Inaugurated in 1933 to a design by the architect Guido Amori, the building is located on a slight slope of the available area and shows a curvilinear façade with giant piles that vertically frame the openings of the two floors, separated by decorative bands with modern-style discs.
The large and spacious interiors are served by bright classrooms and corridors.
