The building stands on a spectacular staircase at the end of the steep climb of Via Pola, in the final part of Corso Vittorio Emanuele.
Designed by the engineer Dionigi Scano around 1897, it has an entrance with a rich wrought-iron gate that reveals a garden now in a state of semi-abandonment. The construction reveals predominantly classical forms in the symmetry of the façade and in the regularity of the gradually more ornate openings towards the top, where a statue depicting an angel dominates an exuberant decoration. The central part is underlined by a wall with horizontal bands resting on a shapeless stone plinth.
