The Ghetto Municipal Art Center in Cagliari is a historic monument and multipurpose space: exhibition and performance, with a panoramic terrace over the roofs of the ancient Stampace district.
The original nucleus of the current structure dates back to 1738, the year in which the military barracks named after San Carlo was founded and which became the headquarters of the military corps of the “Dragoni di Sardegna”.
The suggestive tour leads to the discovery of the three floors and their individual peculiarities: from the ground floor, which coincides with the entrance of the building, to the basement of the “Gunboat” and the even deeper one called Piano delle Segrete.
The large terrace of the cultural center offers one of the most extensive views of the city of Cagliari and is therefore a must-see when visiting the site.
