Sassari, Municipal Historical Archive of Sassari

The valuable documentary production, preserved in the Municipal Historical Archive of the city of Sassari, covers a period of time that goes from 1316 to the twentieth century. The Archive contains: historical cartography, the Sassari statutes and the municipal historical archives. The Archive also organizes cultural events and events on its own or in collaboration with other institutions.

A valuable place of documentary preservation, accessible to citizens and scholars, which encompasses the documentation of republican, Aragonese, Spanish and Piedmontese Sassari up to the Constitution of 1848.

Information on tickets and access: Access to the Municipal Historical Archive is free, free and allowed to everyone, after filling out the study application valid for the current year. The Municipal Historical Archive is available to scholars and researchers who are provided with the necessary assistance starting from the identification of research paths.

Access mode: Free

Other services: Photoreproduction, consultation room. The documents can be reproduced by the photoreproduction service or by their own means, always based on a municipal tariff. The possible publication of documents is subject to the authorization that is issued by the Institute's Management. The consultation room is open to the public from Monday to Saturday at the same times as the archive. Other details and rules on services are defined in the Service Charter, which can be downloaded from the archive site.
