The Officine route runs along the structures that supported mining activities in the maintenance of machinery.
Workshops, Foundry, Forge, Model Room, where the workers were able to adjust and rebuild any part necessary for the mining activity.
The building was built on the old plant of the first power plant dating back to 1901. The ground floor housed the electricians' laboratory and was equipped for the repair of the wide range of electrical machinery present in the mine. On the first floor, however, starting in 1938, the wooden models necessary for the reproduction in the foundry of spare parts of machinery and other metal objects commonly used in the mine began to be preserved, and are still preserved in part today. The workshop for forging and tempering foil, modernized and expanded in 1912, constituted a laboratory of fundamental importance for the construction and maintenance of the metal tools necessary for the mining activity. In this way, blacksmiths perpetuate, in modern mining production, an ancient art that for centuries has characterized this territory. The foundry, dating back to 1885 and modernized in 1912, housed the plants for the fusion of all the cast iron and lead castings of the mechanical elements necessary for the routine maintenance of mining plants and for the construction of new machinery. The furnaces, shapes, molds and other tools for casting are visible. The Mechanical Workshop was founded in 1938 as a building for the maintenance of vehicles. The building was expanded in 1948 to reach its current dimensions. It was equipped with the most modern technical equipment for small and large carpentry work, a sliding bridge crane for the repair and assembly of work machinery and for the normal maintenance of means of transport.
