Located in the heart of the historic center of the town, the old house has been the subject of restoration work, while respecting the original building elements. The building, divided over three floors, has, in fact, the characteristic plank flooring and the typical ceilings with wooden beams and reeds.
The structure overlooks a large inner courtyard, accessible via a granite staircase, while the porch and the traditional bread oven are located in the outer courtyard.
Inside the house, the domestic environments of the past have been reconstructed with the original furnishings: the kitchen with the fireplace, accompanied by the related utensils; the bedrooms, with the wrought-iron beds, the furniture and the equipment; the cellar, which preserves the corner dedicated to baking activities and the pantry.
During the visit, in addition to the objects of daily life, it is possible to observe the tools of peasant work, the costumes and the precious embroideries of the Elinese tradition.
