The monument is located at the S end of the Santa Lucia plain at a distance of about 300 m in an E direction from the village of Rebeccu.
The monument, a small cultural fountain from the Nuragic age, consists of an atrium and a small cell where the spring vein is collected.
The paved atrium, rectangular in plan (5.15 x 1.80 m), has seats on the walls (height 0.30 m; width 0.40 m) and a small niche. The masonry (height m 2; width m 3) consists of regular rows of carefully squared basalt ashlars.
From the atrium, through a trapezoidal light entrance (width 0.65 m; height 0.64 m) carved into a monolithic slab, you can access the cell.
The small room (diam. m 0.97; height m 1.60), built with basalt blocks worked briefly but connected with care, has a “tholos” roof closed by a large horizontal slab.
In the Christian era, a Latin cross was engraved on the lower face of the closing plate.
The water drains through a channel - engraved in the threshold of the entrance to the source - to a drain pipe built below the pavement of the atrium itself.
The use of the site continued until late antiquity, as demonstrated by the 4th century AD coins found at the time of Taramelli during the cleaning of the vestibule.
History of excavations
It was the subject of clandestine excavations at the beginning of the 1900s and was later investigated by Antonio Taramelli.

How to get there
Leave the town of Bonorva in the direction of Bono and after about 3 km turn right, at the junction for the hamlet of Rebeccu. Once you reach the small town, you leave your car in the square of the Church. Continuing straight ahead, keeping the Church on the left and a fountain on the right, there is a path: walk it for a few hundred meters, always following the arrows painted on some stones, until you reach in front of the gate of the land where the fountain is located. Before crossing it, get the consent of the owner.
