Having such a rich contemporary art collection is a natural source of pride for the small community of Benetutti. The collection is the result of a donation made by an illustrious fellow citizen, a collection of works of art that the Hon. Pietro Soddu has publicly donated to his native country. The variety and number of Sardinian artists present make the collection an admirable example of a private art collection that is characterized, among other things, by a large presence of works by young people. The list ranges from the most famous Sardinian artists who have made the history of island art to many names little known to the general public, including a group of well-known artists from other Italian regions.
The works, appropriately selected by art historians, will also be exhibited in various exhibition spaces in some places on the island.
