Luri's drain pump is part of the framework of the remediation of Arborea, once Mussolinia of Sardinia. It is located near the San Giovanni pond and was built in 1934 to drain the malarial swamps of Estius, Arba and Luri.
The building, with a rectangular plan, has the main entrance on one of the short sides with beveled stones and light grooves that hold an lintel on which the name of the Sardinian Reclamation Company is engraved. On the sides of the central compartment, there are two windows, tall and narrow, just embedded in the wall and surmounted by two semi-toothed wheels in relief, which recall the industrial purpose of the construction.
The long sides are divided vertically by pilasters alternating with six tall windows with as many relief hemispheres and are concluded with a frame.
Despite its strictly functional and industrial nature, the artifact, still in operation today, has decorative elements with ancient and modern stylistic references.
