Abstract

All’interno sono presenti delle sepolture ad arcosolio ed un sarcofago che conservano ancora i resti degli affreschi con cui erano decorati. Anche la piccola catacomba presso Is Pirixeddus contiene un arcosolio dipinto. The catacombs of Sant'Antioco are located next to the Basilica of the Saint and extend south east of it, in underground environments derived from the Punic necropolis. Inside there are arcosolium tombs and a sarcophagus (E environment) which still have the remains of the frescoes with which they were decorated. The small catacomb in Is Pirixeddus also contains a painted arcosolium. Les catacombes de Sant’Antioco se trouvent à côté de la basilique du saint et s'étendent vers le sud-est, à travers des secteurs souterrains réalisés dans l'ancienne nécropole carthaginoise. Elles recèlent des tombes à arcosolium et un sarcophage (salle E) qui conservent encore les restes des fresques qui les ornaient. Même la petite catacombe d'Is Pirixeddus présente un arcosolium peint. Die Katakomben von Sant’Antioco befanden sich neben der Basilika des Heiligen und erstrecken sich nach Südosten, in den Bereich der antiken punischen Grabstätten. Im Inneren sind Arcosolgräber sowie ein Sarkophag vorhanden (Raum E), in denen noch Resten der Fresken erhalten sind, mit denen sie ausgeschmückt waren. Auch die kleine Nekropole von Is Pirixeddus weist ein gemaltes Arcosol auf. Las catacumbas de Sant'Antioco se hallan al lado de la basílica del santo y se extienden hasta el sureste de la misma, en ambientes hipogeos extraídos del antiguo lugar púnico de sepulcros. Dentro se encuentran algunas sepulturas de arcosolio y un sarcófago (ambiente E) que aún hoy en día conserva los restos de los frescos con los que se decoraron. Incluso la pequeña catacumba de Is Pirixeddus contiene un arcosolio pintado.
