The Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage has concluded the procedure for the regional recognition of museums and museum collections in Sardinia for the year 2025. The procedure, operated on the platform of the Ministry's National Museum System (SMN-MiC) through the verification of quality requirements, is aimed at inserting museums and museum collections recognized in the Regional Register of Institutes and Places of Culture of Sardinia in 2025 and, at the same time, in the National Museum Information System (SMN).
OBJECTIVES
The procedure aims to consolidate the principle of quality and the rationalization of the sector, promoting the Museum System of Sardinia. Furthermore, the simultaneous inclusion in the National Museum System constitutes an opportunity for growth and improvement for all museums and places of culture, regardless of ownership, size, collection.
FINAL RESULTS OF THE EVALUATION
At the end of the work, the Director of the Cultural Heritage, Publishing and Information Service adopted the decision to approve the investigation with the lists of recognized and unrecognized museums and museum collections, containing the consequent update of the Regional Register of institutes and places of culture in Sardinia.
