On the proposal of the Councillor for Education and Cultural Heritage, Ilaria Portas, Regional Council Resolution no. 36/4 of 15.07.2026 “Celebratory events of figures of protagonists of the history and culture of Sardinia” was approved, which allocates 60 thousand euros for the celebration of the protagonists of Sardinian history and culture for the year 202650 thousand euros for the year 2027.
The heart of the speech is dedicated to Grazia Deledda, on the occasion of the centenary of the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
The Region will not be limited to formal celebrations, but will activate an avant-garde educational program that will affect schools throughout the region in the 2026/2027 school year (for a total total of 60 thousand euros: 40 thousand for 2026 and 20 thousand for 2027), combining the great literary themes of the Nuoro writer with modern forms of multimedia expression.
The resolution also reserves 50 thousand euros (divided into shares of 10 thousand euros each) in favor of five Sardinian municipalities to finance conferences, festivals and study days dedicated to as many prominent figures of island culture:
Investing in the great cultural figures of our region means not only training the younger generations, but consolidating cultural memory, the real pivot of collective identity.
